Rotor Systems and Blade Technology Development
We have job opportunities in both Research and Engineering teams.
The Rotor Systems team at Vestas Global Research is responsible for the development, acquisition and exploitation of technology in the fields of Aerodynamics, Loads, Materials, Structures and Systems for future wind turbine rotors. The team is developing new solutions for blades, hubs, actuators, sensors and aerodynamic devices.. The work is carried out utilizing state-of-the-art simulation tools as well as building and testing functional prototypes.
The Blade Technology Development team is responsible for transfering the research concepts into future blade products.
Composite Process Engineer, Isle of Wight, UK
Responsibilities and tasks
• Lead process development and analysis
• Concept selection
• Process Reviews and supervision of Concept demonstrators build
• Process verification – specification, supervision of process trials and analysis
• Automation of composite processes
Qualifications and work experience
• Minimum B. Sc mechanical /process engineering within composites
• Process modelling experience
• 6 sigma GB (DFSS or DMAIC)High standard of technical documentation
• Excellent communication and time management
• Focus on Quality, High standard of technical documentation
